California Mechanics' Lien Claim Form
An original contractor must record the claim of lien after the completion of the contract and before the expiration of: (1) 90 days after the completion of the work of improvement if no notice of cessation or notice of completion has been recorded; or (2) 60 days after recordation of a notice of cessation or notice of completion. Any other claimant must record the claim of lien after completion of the contract and before the expiration of 60 days after the completion of the work of improvement if no notice of cessation or notice of completion has been recorded.
